Hi, I’m Linda, your Greens candidate for Morningside in the 2024 Brisbane City Council election.

I‘ve lived in Balmoral for 27 years, raising my family and working in public health.

While I'm glad to see our beautiful community grow, poor planning means we now face overcrowded schools, diminished green space, traffic congestion and a lack of public and safe active transport.

But it doesn't have to be this way. I know first hand the health and wellbeing benefits of connected communities, planned through community consultation with services working together for sustainability, equity and inclusion.

Our ward has even more big developments in the stages of early planning. We have the knowledge and technology to future proof our lifestyle and lead the way in becoming a sustainable, connected, diverse community that values people and our environment over corporate profits.

Unlike the other parties, the Greens don’t take corporate donations. As your Councillor, I will listen to your concerns and prioritise our community's needs over wealthy developers' pockets.

With the Greens at a Federal level in our area, we can continue our movement for positive change in our community by electing a Greens Councillor.
