Hi, I’m James and I’m your Greens candidate for Doboy.

I’ve been living in the eastern suburbs of Brisbane for several years and before that, I called Logan home. During this time, I worked as a taxi driver and it gave me the opportunity to get to know our community well.

As a neurodivergent person, I can bring a fresh perspective to local issues. I’d love to help our diverse and vibrant community grow and ensure that everyone has the support they need. Services like Meals on Wheels, community pantries and gardens, and support for people facing family and domestic violence are incredibly important. We need to maintain and protect our parks and libraries. 

Our community matters. Problems like poor planning, traffic congestion, insufficient public transport, and flooding need solutions so that life is easier for all of us.

We need reliable and frequent bus services between Wynnum, Murrarie, Carina, Carindale, and Cannon Hill so that we can make it easier for people to use public transport and stop congestion on our roads.

Major thoroughfares are sometimes cut due to flooding after heavy rain. We need to future proof our area to make sure this kind of poor planning doesn’t continue.

As your Greens Councillor, I’ll listen to your concerns and put our community first.
