Danielle Mutton

Candidate for Ipswich Division 3

Hi, I’m Danielle and I'm your candidate for Ipswich Division 3.

I'm a strong advocate in our community and will always work hard to amplify your voice. As a Union Organiser who loves living, working, and organising in the Ipswich region, I know the power that collective, grassroots organising can deliver.

Politics is currently dominated by the major political parties that take millions of dollars in donations from billionaires, corporations and big business. Our community’s voice is being weakened by vested interests. As a Green on Ipswich City Council, I will ensure transparency and clean up local politics.

I'll take strong action on the climate crisis. I'll work to create a jobs-rich sustainable future through investment in renewables and a healthy environment where wildlife corridors and native flora and fauna are protected

I'll protect our community's health and amenity through strong action on non-compliant, polluting dumps and waste industries and strengthen the circular economy with a tip shop, repair centre and tool library for residents.

I'll work alongside First Nations people at Deebing Creek to help achieve truth-telling, healing and justice.

We can’t continue to have community members living below the poverty line. Access to affordable and social housing is a human right and makes our city more accessible for those with disabilities and the elderly. Improved services for all community members.

Community organisations and not-for-profits are a community asset and I want to ensure that these groups have adequate meeting places and support from Ipswich City Council. Let's build on some of the great community events and festivals supported by our Council. Let's continue to improve consultation with residents on Council proposals to improve our city so we can all prosper and have a vibrant CBD with better access to infrastructure via active transport, public transport and commuting via car.

This election, we have the opportunity to tip the balance of power in favour of ordinary people. The Queensland Greens do not accept political donations from property developers, corporations or big businesses. By voting for me as your Greens representative for Division 3, you're helping to build a movement for change that has your best interests at heart, instead of rich corporate donors and wealthy developers.

Together, we can achieve great things. I want to hear about your vision for the future of the Ipswich region and our local community.
