Hi, I'm Brent Tideswell, and I am honoured to be your Greens candidate for the MacGregor Ward in the upcoming Council Election.

I have lived and worked in the Southside for more than 20 years, and have loved watching it grow with my wife and our 2 teenage daughters.

During my time working in the Brisbane City Council Contact Centre, I have heard the concerns of the residents of Brisbane, particularly around the need for sustainable development and urban planning that takes into account floodplains and water runoff for safe and liveable suburbs.

With increasingly congested roads and seemingly never ending roadworks that don’t actually address the root cause of traffic problems, our community is calling out for better active and public transport options for travel within our beautiful city. Through well connected public transport hubs we can move with reduced travel times and have greater chances to enjoy our neighbourhoods.

I'm running for Councillor because this is a city I am proud to call my home. The Greens’ policies can make us all proud of Brisbane as a safe, accessible, and sustainable home for all residents.
